The changing of the guard at North Carolina is destined to lead to roster changes this offseason.

With the transfer portal set to open, UNC is a bit behind in regard to building next year's roster. Without a head coach in place, it's impossible to actually identify (and recruit) transfers who can help next year's team.

As this situation plays out, we will continue to provide you with all the latest news and rumblings surrounding the UNC basketball program. Check out below to see all the latest transfer portal developments (both incoming and outgoing).

Confirmed Transfer Portal Entries

Isaiah Denis

Denis, a Charlotte, North Carolina native, was limited to just 10 games played and a total of 34 minutes of action, most of which came in mop up duty. He shared his decision on social media, indicating that he wasn't fully closing the door on a return to Chapel Hill for his sophomore season.

Derek Dixon

A native of Vienna, Virginia, Dixon appeared in all 33 games during his true freshman season at North Carolina. After serving as a reserve for the first 17 games, Dixon played his way into the starting lineup, a role he wouldn't lose grasp of throughout the remainder of the season.

Overall, Dixon averaged 6.5 points, 2.7 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game, shooting 39.7% from the floor and 36.5% from three-point range. His 81.8% from the free-throw line was also the best on the team.

Dixon did not rule out the possibility of returning to Chapel Hill for his sophomore season.

*Update- Dixon committed to Arizona

Jonathan Powell

After serving primarily as a starter at West Virginia during his freshman season, Powell hit the portal and found a new landing spot at North Carolina. While he was a rotation regular, his minutes and role greatly diminished from what he had at West Virginia, and his usage (and production) dipped as well.

Powell also did not rule out potentially returning to North Carolina for another season.

*Update- Powell committed to Pittsburgh

James Brown

Brown didn't see much action on the court, as he was limited to just 27 total games over his two seasons in Chapel Hill. Of those 27 appearances, 18 came during his true freshman season, as he was limited to just 9 games this season after undergoing season-ending surgery this past February.

Zayden High

High became a key player for the Tar Heels down the stretch, stepping up in a major way when the program's frontcourt battled through various injuries. He became a consistent presence in the rotation down the stretch, and will now likely look for a bigger role heading into his third college season.

Kyan Evans

Evans went from being the Tar Heels' starting point guard to a rarely-utilized reserve, as the writing was on the wall for his departure from North Carolina.

Luka Bogavac

After previously stating he intended to return to North Carolina, Bogavac did a complete 180 and entered the transfer portal.

Two days after entering the portal, Bogavac committed to Oklahoma State.

Stevenson confirmed that he will return to North Carolina for his senior season.
