Michael Malone might not have the best poker face, but he quite frankly doesn't care who knows how much he wants Nasir Anderson to end up becoming a Tar Heel.
Malone and his staff have been moving and grooving on the recruiting trail, building up those frequent flyer miles as they make trips around the country (and sometimes even internationally!). The latest wave of visits have been hometown ones, essentially getting to see some of their highly-touted targets at their respective high schools.
If these visits tell you anything, it's how interested Malone and his staff are in not just Anderson, but fellow five-star talent Lewis Uvwo as well.

Sure, Malone may love the Florida weather, but that's not the main reason why the head coach of the Tar Heels has made a pair of stops this week at Prolific Prep.

Multiple reports confirmed Malone was once again on campus to see Anderson and Uvwo. He didn't go alone, as a member of the Tar Heels coaching staff was also reportedly with him as well.
Anderson's recruitment has started to heat up in recent weeks. On August 22, the five-star guard narrowed his recruitment to 10 programs, and announced his official visits schedule just 9 days later, one that could end up working out for UNC given they are currently slated to have the final visit on his recruitment tour.
Uvwo, the consensus No. 1-ranked center in the Class of 2027, received an offer from North Carolina on July 24, but there hasn't been much buzz surrounding UNC in his recruitment.
Of course, if Malone and his staff continue to put on the full-court press, the Tar Heels have the potential to swoop into his recruitment and make an impact on it before its all said and done.
College coaches aren't just looking to acquire the best talents, they are also aiming to find players who fit the culture they are building at their respective universities. It seems like Malone and his staff have fallen in love with both Anderson and Uvwo, making sure they know that they are heavily interested in them teaming up at the collegiate level in Chapel Hill.
Sure, Malone and members of his coaching staff have visited quite a few players since they've been allowed to make stops at high school campuses, but how many of those prospects received multiple visits in a span of a week's time?
The answer is simple: two (Anderson and Uvwo).
North Carolina has been extremely busy on the recruiting trail. Between hosting top-tier recruits to preparing for another to make his visit this weekend, there hasn't been much downtime for Malone as he not only aims to build his future roster, but also get his current one ready for the 2026-2027 season. While Malone's schedule has been fully booked, he's attacking this process with a full steam ahead approach, wasting no time ensuring that his top recruiting targets know just how badly he wants them to bring their talents to Chapel Hill.
