It's hard to believe, but we're nearing the end of the regular season for North Carolina and Hubert Davis. For the past four games, the Tar Heels, fresh off a Top 25 win over Louisville, have been without freshman sensation Caleb Wilson.

However, is the diaper dandy inching his way back towards a return? Earlier this week, plenty of headlines were made when it was revealed that Wilson is targeting a return for the Duke game. On Wednesday night, analyst Seth Davis confirmed things there, stating that the best-case scenario for the Heels indeed would be for Wilson to suit up against Duke come March 7:

UNC remains optimistic Caleb Wilson will return for the Duke game
"North Carolina, we know about their star freshman Caleb Wilson," Seth Davis said live on TNT Sports. "Broke his non-shooting hand. They are hoping to get him back... best-case scenario is the regular season finale at Duke."
Extra hope for the UNC faithful who want to see the Heels work to pull off an upset in Durham? You bet. However, we've got to remind everyone that there's still no set date here. During his weekly radio show, Hubert Davis said more testing on Wilson is on the way this week. After that, the team will know more on when he might be able to play again.
With all of that said, positive signs keep coming in and it really does feel like Wilson at worst will be able to return at some point during the ACC Tournament. At the same time, no one should be overly shocked if he's on the hardwood putting on a show against Duke.
The last time the two sides met, a stunning result was posted in Chapel Hill, with Seth Trimble's game-winning 3-pointer still making people smile. Wilson has been out since hurting his hand at Miami, but knowing the kind of gamer he is, he's surely got the Duke game circled on his calendar too. Again, no one knows 100 percent for sure when Wilson will return, but it's hard to ignore the positive updates that keep coming in.
