The stage is set, as North Carolina will take on East Carolina in the Chapel Hill Regional finals with a trip to the Super Regionals on the line.
Earlier in the day, ECU defeated VCU by a score of 10-0 in the elimination game, setting up a rematch with the host Tar Heels. In order for ECU to advance to the Super Regionals, they not only must win on Sunday night, but would also have to defeat the Diamond Heels in a winner-take-all game on Monday in Chapel Hill.
