Most people Caden Glauber's age are preparing to wrap up their high school careers, attending proms and graduation ceremonies.

Glauber skipped all that good stuff to head to Chapel Hill a year earlier than he was supposed to, and his dominance all season long has shown that he and his family made a really good decision to do so.

Caden Glauber once again stars on the mound for UNC

Jason DeCaro, the Tar Heels' ace, struggled throughout his start in the winner's bracket matchup with ECU, and worked himself into a bit of trouble in the bottom of the fourth with two outs.

Having recently tied the game, courtesy of a clutch Colin Hynek three-run blast, Scott Forbes knew how important it was to preserve the tie. Although he has a tremendous amount of faith in DeCaro, Forbes turned to his freshman star to put out the fire.

In typical Caden Glauber fashion, he did that and much more.

Glauber didn't just get the Tar Heels out of the jam in the bottom half of the fourth inning. He proceeded to pitch the following four innings, striking out eight of the 17 batters he faced. While ECU did push across two runs against him in his final inning of work, Glauber dominanted their lineup throughout, allowing UNC time to build a lead that they would not relish.

With this latest victory, UNC is now an insane 24-0 when Glauber takes the mound this season. It's simple: when Glauber toes the rubber, good things tend to happen for the UNC baseball program.

Unless you're a die-hard UNC fan or follow the sport of college baseball closely, you'd have no idea that Glauber was a freshman who reclassified up a grade. The way he handles himself on the mound is veteran-like, as you'd think he was a junior or senior based on the eye test alone.

Well, the joke's on you for those who didn't already know, but this kid is already one of the best pitchers in the country, and he undoubtedly is one of the youngest in the sport as well.

Carolina landed a good one when Caden Glauber decided to call Chapel Hill home, and they are currently benefitting from having the luxury of being able to utilize him in this super-utility type of role on the mound.
