No one should be surprised that this Class of 2027 standout continues to rise up the recruiting ranks.

Not many (if any) high school recruits have improved their stock over the last few weeks more than DeMarcus Henry.

The five-star talent was already considered a top-tier prospect in the Class of 2027, but his value has risen to a level that no one who has followed him will be shocked by.

DeMarcus Henry makes a major jump in ESPN's latest rankings

Previously regarded as a top-10 player according to ESPN, Henry has made a massive jump into the top five of the updated list.

In fact, he didn't just jump into the top five. He is now considered by ESPN as a top-three player in the class, ranking ahead of CJ Rosser, a player who many believe is the best player this graduating class has to offer.

Michael Malone and the UNC basketball program have been putting the full-court press on for some of the best prospects within the Class of 2027. While North Carolina extended an offer to Henry on May 17, he isn't the only top 10 recruit (based on ESPN's rankings) that the Tar Heels are in the mix for.

In fact, each of the top five prospects currently hold offers from UNC:

Marcus Spears Jr.- No. 1
Beckham Black- No. 2
Henry- No. 3
Rosser- No. 4
Adan Diggs -No.5

Henry's recruitment has been an interesting one to follow. While he has been regarded as a five-star talent, his recruitment has started to firmly take off over the last couple of weeks. Since May 15, Henry has earned offers from the likes of Kentucky, Arkansas, Kansas, Gonzaga, UConn and Vanderbilt, which just adds to his scholarship total that continues to grow. With 20+ offers to his name already, expect more to be flowing Henry's way, especially if he continues to shoot up the recruiting boards for other sites (such as On3 and247Sports) as he did in ESPN's latest rankings.

There's a lot to like about DeMarcus Henry's overall game, as the talented wing continues to put the country on notice.
