Seth Trimble and Henri Veesaar were teammates at North Carolina during the 2025-2026 season.

While mostly competing on the same team, there likely were times during practice where the two veterans were matched up against each other during drills and scrimmages.

However, nothing they did in practices comes close to meeting in an actual game at the professional level, as both players squared off on the final day of NBA Summer League action.

When the Trimble-led Washington Wizards took on the Veesaar-guided Atlanta Hawks, you knew there was going to be at least one instance where we would see a battle between the pair of former Tar Heels. Fortunately, one of those moments occured in the first quarter, as the former teammates met at the rim.

Wait until you see what happened!

Seth Trimble and Henri Veesaar meet at the rim in an epic showdown

Veesaar, a seven-footer, led the fast break and appeared to have a lane for a clear dunk on the other end of the floor. Trimble, a 6-foot-3 guard with an insane amount of athleticism, wasn't giving his former teammate an easy bucket, getting in the lane while challenging the dunk attempt.

In the end, it was Trimble who won this battle (and bragging rights for sure!) with this highlight-reel level block.

For starters: don't underestimate Trimble's athleticism! Tar Heel fans have witnessed first-hand the high-flying ability that the former UNC basketball standout possesses, as his ability to essentially fly is absolutely incredible given his size.

You don't see many 6-foot-3 guys getting up like Trimble does!

Let's also remember: Trimble is looking to make the most of his opportunity to compete at this year's NBA Summer League event. While guys like Caleb Wilson and Veesaar are on standard contracts, Trimble, an undrafted free agent, is still trying to prove that he does, in fact, belong on an NBA roster this upcoming season.

Making plays like that will certainly help improve his case!

For Veesaar, you can tell he was a little stunned after his former teammate rejected his dunk attempt. While Trimble may have gotten away with a little push with his right arm, you simply got to give him credit for that elite block, one that not many other players could've made.

Veesaar definitely saw Trimble in the lane and wanted to put his buddy on a poster. Trimble knew Veesaar had a size advantage but wasn't going to shy away from the challenge, meeting him at the rim in what turned out to be a major win on the defensive end for him and his team.

While both players continued competing, you know that this play will be one that they will talk about for quite some time. Veesaar likely won't want to bring it up as much, but you can bet that their former UNC basketball teammates will be all over this clip when they get their hands on it!
