Opportunities at the NBA level don't come around too often.

For Seth Trimble, his chance to show his value is right in front of him, and it's an opportunity he won't let slip away.

Seth Trimble thrives in latest NBA Summer League action

With the Washington Wizards playing back-to-back games, Trimble saw plenty of game action on both nights.

The former Tar Heel scored 13 points in 28 minutes on Tuesday night against the Caleb Wilson-led Chicago Bulls, but followed it up with an even better performance in the second game of the back-to-back.

Trimble led the Wizards with 24 points on a very efficient 8-for-12 shooting. He knocked down a pair of three-pointers and four of his five attempts at the free-throw line, also adding three rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a block to his stat line.

When the Wizards elected to shut down a trio of players for the remainder of NBA Summer League action, including No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa, it seemed like the perfect chance for Trimble to get an extended look. Since being inserted into the summer league starting lineup, Trimble has done what he does best: play elite-level defense, showcase his high athleticism and, of course, score the basketball when his number is called.

For a guy looking to earn an NBA roster spot, all those are great qualities to possess when vying for a chance to compete at the sport's highest level.

Although he didn't hear his name called in the 2026 NBA Draft, that hasn't stopped Trimble in his pursuit of fulfilling his lifelong dream. He's making the most of the opportunity in front of him, hoping that his efforts are enough to prove to at least one NBA team that he's deserving of a roster spot within their organization.

While the goal is to impress the franchise you're currently competing for, the NBA Summer League is essentially a tryout for every team across the league. We've seen plenty of instances where guys didn't make one team's roster but ended up being picked up elsewhere, thriving in that new environment.

For Trimble, the goal is to find his way onto Washington's roster, something that he continues to make a very strong case for in his first taste of professional basketball.
