Jay Williams might've played his college basketball career at Duke, but we all know deep down that he loves the Carolina Blue!
Appearing on ESPN's "Get Up," Williams joined host Mike Greenberg to discuss the 2026 NBA Draft. With the draft order officially set, more speculation can begin as to where some of the top players in the class will end up.
Greenberg asked Williams his thoughts on who he thinks has the potential to be the best player from this class in the long run.

Jay Williams hypes up Caleb Wilson in a major way
"Now when I watch [Caleb Wilson] play, ... the bar seems like Kevin Garnett, the ceiling seems more like Giannis." 👀@RealJayWilliams believes that Caleb Wilson can be the best NBA player out of the draft 😳 pic.twitter.com/UXiBxMIzAI

Here's what Williams had to say in regards to him believing the "kid from Carolina" (in Greenberg's words) was the guy that has the highest ceiling of this talented draft class.
"When I first saw him play this year, I thought the bar is Jermaine O'Neil and the ceiling being Kevin Garnett. Now, when I watch him play, the bar seems to be Kevin Garnett, the ceiling seems more like Giannis (Antetokounmpo)."
It's not every day that media personalities compare current draft prospects to two of the greatest power forwards to ever play the sport of basketball. That's exactly what Williams did in his Caleb Wilson comparison, believing he has the potential to string together a Hall of Fame caliber career just like Garnett did and Antetokounmpo continues to do.

Of course, we're very far from that point in time, as Wilson is still going through the NBA Draft process. However, it goes to show just how much those around the sport love what the former Tar Heel brings to the table, believing that he can have a very special career once he lands with an NBA team in just a few weeks.
While he hasn't drawn the attention that some other draft prospects have, there's no denying that Wilson might just be the best talent that this class has to offer, as he'll continue to prove it as he takes this next step to begin his professional basketball career.
