If you have Javonte Williams on your fantasy football team, it's safe to say that you loved his performance against the Houston Texans.

The former Tar Heel made it a habit of finding the end zone, scoring three times in the Dallas Cowboys' latest victory. Along with his three trips to the end zone, Williams also added 83 yards total (62 on the ground, 21 through the air).

In a standard PPR (Points Per Reception) fantasy football league, Williams earned 31.3 points.

The breakdown:

  • 62 rushing yards: 6.2
  • 3 rushing TDs: 18
  • 5 receptions: 5
  • 21 receiving yards: 2.1
  • Total: 31.3 PPR points

Williams is another reminder of how important the fit is for a player's success. After falling out of favor with the Denver Broncos, the former Tar Heel was simply looking for a new home where he could showcase his talents, and he fortunately found the perfect landing spot in Dallas.

Now, 20 games into his time with the Cowboys, Williams has scored 19 touchdowns. It's pretty safe to say that both sides are glad this pairing occurred.

Essentially, if you were smart and had Williams in your fantasy lineup this weekend, you deserve every single point that the former Tar Heels' star running back provided. If you made the crucial mistake of leaving him on your bench, well, you messed up (especially if you lost!).

Don't make that mistake again, especially given how Williams has become a key staple of the Cowboys' offense. Even if the total yards aren't there, Williams is a candidate to score at least once every week, backed by the overall production he's put together in nearly a year and a half with the franchise.
