A 6-foot-6, 287-pounder, Ingalsbe is regarded as a top-25 caliber offensive tackle in his graduating class. Overall, Rivals has him tabbed as the No. 291-ranked player in the class, but is regarded as the No. 23 overall offensive tackle.
The Tar Heels weren't alone in their pursuit of Ingalsbe. In fact, the rising senior held offers from 24 other schools, including the likes of Arkansas, Florida State, and South Carolina. He also made visits to Cincinnati, Duke, Kansas State, Wake Forest and West Virginia before ultimately deciding to commit to the UNC football program.
A successful official visit leads to recruiting win for Bill Belichick and UNC
With Ingalsbe's commitment, the Tar Heels now have four offensive linemen from the Class of 2027 who plan on making their way to Chapel Hill. In total, UNC has earned commitments from 11 prospects in this graduating class, with more expected in the coming weeks and months.
North Carolina is putting in the work on the recruiting trail, as the emphasis on improving in the trenches is on full-display. The Tar Heels understand the importance of having depth and flexibility on the offensive line, something that Belichick and his staff have been so focused on adding ever since they took over the reins of the program.
Now, it's about adding the best talent possible to help spearhead the rebuilding process in Chapel Hill, as North Carolina believes that Ingalsbe can be an integral part of their offensive line unit for years to come.
