Four-star power forward will be in Chapel Hill this weekend

North Carolina head coach Roy Williams is fresh off of his biggest recruiting commitment in over four years, but the show goes on for the defending national champions.

Class of 2018 four-star prospect Darius Days will be in Chapel Hill, North Carolina this weekend for an official visit, beginning on Friday. It’s a trip that Days has had planned for some time, having scheduled it right after Williams offered him a scholarship in early August.

Days’ first official visit was to Louisville in mid-September. But given the current turmoil that the program is in, and the removal of head coach Rick Pitino, it’s safe to say that Days won’t be joining the Cardinals.

He also has an official visit to LSU scheduled for October 20th. And although that is the last visit that he currently has planned, it’s possible that he could take trips to Ohio State and Xavier as well.

Days is a 6-foot-7, 218-pound power forward attending The Rock School in Gainesville, Florida. He averaged 19.3 points and nine rebounds while shooting 39.7 percent from three-point range for the Florida Vipers on the 2017 Under Armour circuit.

Scout’s Evan Daniels has described Days as a good shooter, rebounder and defender. He’s stated that he’s a high-motor player who has the opportunity to defend multiple positions at the collegiate level.

Days is the No. 65 prospect in the 2018 class according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s a top-20 player at his position and the No. 9 player in the state of Florida.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball currently projects LSU as an overwhelming favorite to land Days. The Tar Heels will need to impress the talented big man this weekend if they hope to make up some ground on the Tigers.
