Justin Jackson will have another workout for an NBA team on Wednesday

Former University of North Carolina Tar Heels standout Justin Jackson is preparing for the 2017 NBA Draft, taking the next step in his basketball career.

The wing is projected to be as high as No. 10 overall and be a lottery pick come June’s draft.

Jackson has already participated in a few group workouts after the NBA Scouting Combine and is ready to partake in another one.

The Sacremento Kings will host Jackson and a few other prospects on Wednesday to showcase their skills for a team that holds the 5th and 10th picks in the NBA Draft.

More from North Carolina Tar Heels

The Kings are looking to turn around their franchise and really need to hit on their first-round pick this year.

Jackson spoke on the upcoming workout and what it would mean to hear his name called in the upcoming draft.

Here’s what he told the Sac Bee:

"“For me, it’s an honor and blessing just to be here, no matter what age I am,” Jackson said. “But to also see my decision go back (to North Carolina) and to improve so that I’d be in a better decision this year, to see that decision play out pretty well, it feels pretty good.”"

The 6-foot-8, 200-pound Jackson had a fantastic year for the Tar Heels as he averaged 18.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He helped the Tar Heels capture their sixth national championship with a win over Gonzaga.

Jackson tested the 2016 NBA Draft process but decided to return to school for his junior season at Carolina.

His biggest improvement came in three-point shooting. Jackson improved his three-point shooting percentage from 29% to 37% from his sophomore to junior season.
