It feels like it's been a minute since the UNC basketball social media account showed us a ridiculous Caleb Wilson dunk during a practice scrimmage.

But our wait is over and Wilson is still throwing down crazy jams.

It's a great 35-second clip of scrimmage action with the melodic tunes of YoungBoy NBA in the background. We could talk about the guard play or the impressive mid-range shooting. '

But no, we're talking about Wilson's nasty one-handed jam off a lob that closed out the sequence of clips. You think the UNC social media team knew what we wanted to see? Damn right they did.

The fans responded and...apologies to Zayden High

One insider expects Wilson to make an early impact

Wilson has already been projected as a potential lottery pick in the 2026 NBA Draft and, despite that, there are many that feel like the 6-foot-10 freshman is flying a little under the radar.

Pac Kilby from the Locked On Tar Heels podcast suggested that Wilson is overshadowed by other top players in the freshman class, most notably A.J. Dybantsa and the Boozer twins (Cayden and Cameron). Kilby adds that Wilson will have a chance early in the schedule to get on the national radar, but it will depend on how the freshman adapts to playing college ball.

"I think it's probably going to depend on how quickly he adjusts to the college game," Kilby said. "If he needs an adjustment period, it may be ACC play, but if he hits the ground running, with our schedule that we play pre-ACC, he's going to have plenty of opportunities to make a name for himself early. I could see it going either way."

UNC opens the season against Winston-Salem State on October 29 and Wilson will have his first chance on the national stage when Kansas visits the Dean Dome on November 7. North Carolina will also play Michigan State in the Fort Myers tip-off on November 27 and head to Rupp Arena to play Kentucky in the ACC/SEC Challenge on December 2.
