Caleb Wilson is a young man who wants to let his game do the talking for him. But when the five-star freshman takes to social media, we all pay attention.
His post on X was only 13 characters, but it spoke volumes about where the 6-foot-9 prospect's head is.
The full translation of the post is: "It's a great day to be a Tar Heel"
Naturally, this simple post got Tar Heel nation excited about the season ahead and the opportunity to see Wilson suit up in Carolina Blue for the first time this season.

One coach suggests the nation is sleeping on Wilson
Pac Kilby is an assistant high school basketball coach in Oklahoma and an unabashed Tar Heel fan. He regularly appears on the 'Locked On Tar Heels' podcast to offer insight and in their latest episode, he explained why it appears that many in the nation (outside the Carolina program) are sleeping on Wilson.
"I think there are two key factors in this - it's hard to say someone is being slept on when they're ranked fifth in the nation, right?," Kilby said. "But in a lot of ways, it does feel like he's kind of flying under the radar. Number one, there's a guy named A.J. Dybantsa that's pretty darn good and a lot of people have been talking about him....and the other thing is, his last name is not Boozer."
"When you think about that class, I think that's what most people probably gravitate toward - the Boozer twins, A.J. Dybantsa and that's what a lot of the conversation has been," he continued. "Obviously, I want him to get his flowers, but Caleb Wilson is flying under the radar and I think he's going to put a lot of people on notice whenever they see him play on a national stage in a North Carolina uniform."
October 29th is the first game of the season, and it feels like we can't get there fast enough. But Wilson's introduction to the national stage will probably be on November 7 when Kansas comes into the Dean Dome.
Can't wait.
