Ahead of Thursday night's NCAA Tournament opener between the Rams and Tar Heels, players from VCU were asked about the upcoming matchup.
While some might be intimidated by facing a historic program such as North Carolina, VCU isn't intimidated by any means.
VCU gives UNC some bulletin board material
Lazar Djokovic and his VCU teammates are more than ready for the battle they have in store against the Tar Heels.
VCU’s coach knows a ‘war’ is coming against UNC and Hubert Davis
In March, anything can happen. Regardless of where you're seeded or how well you played in the regular season, everyone is on the same playing level come March Madness.
Both UNC and VCU are 0-0, as the regular season history means absolutely nothing.
Djokovic provided UNC with some bulletin board material ahead of the NCAA Tournament meeting, making it known that his team is taking this one like any other game.

"We don’t play against the brand, we play against the players wearing those jerseys."
Bold Statement
The players wearing the jerseys are part of the brand. While this team hasn't accomplished anything up to this point in terms of living up to the brand's reputation of bringing home national championships.
However, it is still North Carolina, and the guys on the floor should use these confident (and somewhat cocky) comments from members of the VCU roster as fuel to put together a strong performance on Thursday night.
If the Tar Heels get wind of these comments, it will be interesting to see if they add any additional motivation that has been sparked ahead of tonight's tip-off.
