Bill Belichick's 2028 recruiting class is starting to come together in a hurry.

One day after landing four-star quarterback Levi Kerr, Belichick and the Tar Heels added another highly touted prospect to the mix.

Four-star tight end Greg Kirwan announced his commitment to North Carolina on Monday, becoming the second member of UNC's 2028 recruiting class.

Two four-star commitments in as many days.

Not a bad way to get things rolling!

Greg Kirwan becomes UNC's second Class of 2028 commitment

Kirwan is a 6-foot-5, 240-pound tight end from Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. The Rivals Industry Ranking considers Kirwan the No. 280 overall prospect and No. 14 tight end in the 2028 recruiting class.

More importantly, just take a look at the programs North Carolina had to beat out for his services.

Kirwan held offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas A&M, among others.

Yeah, that'll certainly play!

Kirwan visited UNC earlier this season for the Tar Heels' matchup against Notre Dame, then returned to Kenan Stadium this past weekend for the Halloween night showdown with No. 1 Miami.

Both he and Kerr had similar feelings after their return trips to Chapel Hill, ultimately deciding to commit to the UNC football program.

UNC is quickly building some momentum in the 2028 class

This is where things start to get interesting for UNC.

Quarterbacks are often among the most important recruiters in a class once they make their college decision, and UNC now has its quarterback in Kerr.

Less than 24 hours later, the Tar Heels added a four-star weapon for him to potentially throw to.

That's one heck of a start.

There's still a long way to go before the 2028 recruiting class is finalized, but Belichick and his staff have already secured commitments from two highly regarded offensive prospects.

Kerr gives North Carolina a potential centerpiece at quarterback, while Kirwan gives them a big-time target at tight end.

Given what Jelani Thurman has done in his first season as a Tar Heel, which tight end prospect wouldn't want to play for Belichick, a man known for developing elite players at this position?

If this is any indication of what's to come, the Tar Heels could be on the verge of building something special in this recruiting class.

UNC quickly made some major noise on the recruiting trail by landing two four-star offensive standouts to jumpstart its 2028 class. The question remains, who will be next to join this growing recruiting class?
