Even though UNC fans are still feeling the hurt and slight shame of losing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to VCU, there is nothing that can make them feel better than watching Duke lose.
In all actuality, Tar Heels can feel even better at the fact that not only did they lose, but they blew a 19-point lead, and lost on a last-second three-point dagger by UConn after turning the ball over. While UNC's loss was bad, blowing a lead like that with a Final Four trip on the line is really bad.
Back when UNC lost in the first round, former Duke star Jay Williams took his opportunity to bash UNC, even trying to say that the Tar Heels aren't blue bloods anymore. Well, karma is sweet, and former UNC National Champion Kennedy Meeks is here to remind Williams of that.
Ohh Jay Williams!!!!! 👀👀

Duke blowing yet another opportunity in the NCAA Tournament is music to UNC fans ears
Jay Williams can sit there and say that UNC isn't a blue blood anymore with the lack of success in recent years, but in reality, he should be looking at his own team. When was the last time Duke won a National Championship? Oh, right, back in 2015, when UNC won it more recently in 2017. UNC was also in the National Championship more recently, back in 2022, but fell to Kansas.
Since Coach K left, it is not like Duke has been able to find that natty success, and until they do, Williams will need to just keep his comments to himself.
Duke fans will try to say that at least the Blue Devils were there, but they also had one foot in the door of the Final Four, and instead are heading back home to Durham. Choking in a high-stakes game like that is what Duke is good at, and UNC fans will continue to remind them of just that.
