You know what they say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
North Carolina has worn throwback uniforms in each of its first two games of the 2026 season. Those games have both resulted in victories, as the Tar Heels head into Saturday afternoon looking to keep the streak going.
For those of you who are superstitious, you're going to love this week's uniform combo.
UNC football to wear throwback uniforms against Clemson
The Tar Heels will once again be rocking the throwback look for their ACC opener against the Clemson Tigers. We last saw this uniform combination in Ireland when UNC defeated TCU to begin the 2026 season.

Classic white jerseys with Carolina blue pants and helmets. Same road look for UNC as they aim to continue their early season success.
It's been a chaotic week in Chapel Hill for a variety of reasons, but now the focus is on winning a football game. If North Carolina is able to accomplish that goal, it would mark the first time since 2010 that the Tar Heels came out victorious against the Tigers, and would be the first time since 2001, yes, 2001, that UNC beat Clemson on their home field.
This weekend would be a perfect weekend to end that streak!
The throwback/classic look for the UNC football program has been working so far this season. Why not continue to use some of the cleanest jerseys in all of college football as you roll into the state of South Carolina for your first ACC contest of the 2026 season?
No one can deny that it's a great look, one that would look even better if North Carolina finds a way to win the football game, a victory that would make a huge statement in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
