Apparently, the "Noon Guys" have officially become night owls!

After the first five games of the 2026 season kicked off at noon, North Carolina has suddenly found itself getting some much more appealing time slots.

The ACC announced on Monday that UNC's Halloween showdown with Miami at Kenan Stadium will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET, setting the stage for a primetime battle under the lights in Chapel Hill. The game will air on either ABC or ESPN, with the final network designation to be determined after this weekend's slate.

It's spooky season in Chapel Hill!

Halloween night at Kenan Stadium has the potential to be special

For a UNC team that couldn't escape the noon window earlier this season, the Tar Heels suddenly have back-to-back opportunities to play under the lights at Kenan Stadium.

UNC's upcoming matchup against Syracuse is also scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff, meaning Bill Belichick and company will play consecutive primetime home games before heading to UConn on November 7.

It's hard to imagine a much better setting than the one awaiting the Tar Heels on Halloween.

Miami sits atop the AP Top 25 and will bring one of college football's best teams to Chapel Hill. The Hurricanes are undefeated through their first six games and will face Pittsburgh this weekend before heading to Kenan Stadium.

UNC, on the other hand, has been building momentum and would love nothing more than terrorizing the Hurricanes.

Despite Miami's success, North Carolina has been a thorn in the Hurricanes' side in recent years.

The Tar Heels have won five straight meetings against Miami since 2019. The Hurricanes haven't beaten UNC since 2018 and haven't won a game in Chapel Hill since 2017. Maintaining this streak won't be easy, but if you're going to pull off an upset against the top-ranked team in the land, Halloween night in front of the home crowd is quite the setting to do so.

A few weeks back, not many would've predicted this game to be one of importance in college football. However, UNC has put itself in a position where they are playing good football and are drawing national attention because of it, as they have a chance to make Halloween 2026 a night that serves as a nightmare for the Miami Hurricanes for years to come.
