Apparently, the "Noon Guys" are capable of playing football after the sun goes down.

After becoming all too familiar with early kickoffs this season, UNC is finally getting the primetime treatment at Kenan Stadium.

The ACC announced that UNC's October 24 matchup against Syracuse will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ACC Network, giving Tar Heel fans something they've been waiting quite some time for: a Saturday night football game in Chapel Hill.

The Tar Heels are finally getting their night under the lights

There's simply something different about Kenan Stadium at night.

Instead of setting the alarm clock, firing up the grill before breakfast, and preparing for another noon kickoff, Tar Heel fans will have an entire Saturday to build toward kickoff.

Given how UNC's schedule has been essentially noon kickoff starts all season long, Tar Heel fans will be thrilled to hear this news.

The Syracuse matchup will also be Family Football Day at Kenan Stadium, adding another layer to what should be one of the Tar Heels' best home atmospheres this season.

Of course, North Carolina will have some business to take care of before worrying about the Orange.

UNC heads to Durham this weekend for a 3:30 p.m. showdown with rival Duke before returning home to play Syracuse and Miami in back-to-back games. The Tar Heels are 3-2 overall and 1-1 in ACC play, making this stretch important as the season moves deeper into conference play.

For now, Tar Heel fans can celebrate one very important development: for once, we have all day to tailgate and pregame for a UNC football game!
