The UNC football program continues to rob Penn State of defensive commitments, especially within the secondary unit.

Following four-star cornerback Jaziel Hart's decision to flip his commitment from Penn State to North Carolina, fellow four-star corner David Davis followed suit. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native confirmed to Rivals that he is also now set to become a Tar Heel.

Davis originally committed to Penn State in March. After James Franklin was dismissed in October, the four-star talent elected to re-open his recruitment, taking visits to both West Virginia and North Carolina.

After watching the UNC football program's defensive success against Stanford, Davis decided that he wanted in on what Bill Belichick and his staff are building in Chapel Hill.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder received plenty of interest on the recruiting trail. Along with North Carolina, Penn State and West Virginia, other schools, such as Minnesota, Nebraska and Pittsburgh (to name a few) all expressed interest in him.

Bill Belichick and the Tar Heels continue to absolutely cook on the recruiting trail, as the recent head coaching changes at some prominent programs have served as tremendous opportunities for North Carolina to flip some top-tier talent its way. It's rather impressive how the UNC football program has currently secured a top-20 ranked recruiting class, showing how quickly the new staff has adjusted to the world of college athletics.

Don't worry- Belichick and the Tar Heels are far from done, as they will do whatever it takes to add the best possible talent out there. The goal remains the same: the 2026 recruiting class is headlined as the one that is going to be large in number but hopefully monumental when it comes to help getting the UNC football program to that national level that they aspire to get to.

Both Bill and Steve Belichick are going to have a lot of incoming talent to work with, as we can only imagine how good the defense will be with improved talent.

Look at what North Carolina has done recently with a group that doesn't possess much star power. Belichick and crew have been able to turn them into an above-average unit: imagine what he'll do when top-tier talents start to arrive!
