Tyler Hansbrough has been very vocal about his opinion on Michael Malone's hiring at North Carolina. While "Psycho T," one of the greatest players to ever wear the Carolina Blue uniform, not only called this hiring, but is loving it even more after Malone's introductory press conference.

Michael Malone's introductory press conference hyped up Hansbrough

As we know, Hansbrough is a fiery guy, someone who is not afraid to speak his mind. On the Field of 68 Podcast, Hansbrough, along with fellow UNC legends John Henson and Justin Jackson, discussed Malone's introductory press conference, one that Hansbrough gave a raving review for:

“The press conference, I thought he knocked it out of the park,” Hansbrough said. “He had no notes, he spoke with passion. He told the fanbase basically what they wanted - he gave them some evidence that, ‘hey, this is how we’re going to play, we’re going to be a tough team, we’re going to fight,’ and that’s what we wanted to hear. The other thing he’s been very transparent about is, ‘Hey, I know what I don’t know. I know that I haven’t worked on the portal. I’m going to figure out and surround myself with guys who know how to do this, and we’re going to get this right.’ And that’s a lot of the questions that some people had, and that was satisfying to hear.”

Malone was honest and transparent, providing UNC fans with a lot to be encouraged about. Not only did Malone speak about how UNC basketball will adjust to the current game, but made plenty of references to the program's rich history, one that certainly won't be lost or forgotten about while Malone is at the helm.

Like Hansbrough, most fans came away very impressed with the new leader of the UNC basketball program, as Michael Malone gave us all a ton of optimism heading into this new era of Carolina basketball.
