What's better than one commitment from a four-star defensive prospect?
Two!
Bill Belichick and the UNC football program made another big splash on Sunday, adding another four-star talent to its 2027 recruiting class. Earlier in the day, defensive lineman Kaiden Robinson-Vickers pledged to the Tar Heels before wrapping up his official visit, and another player who also chases quarterbacks around decided to follow his lead.
Four-star EDGE Brayden Booth commits to North Carolina
Make it lucky No. 13 for Bill Belichick and the Tar Heels, who now have 13 players from the Class of 2027 committed to the UNC football program.
Four-star EDGE Brayden Booth becomes the latest to pledge to the Tar Heels, making his intentions known during his visit to Chapel Hill this weekend.

A 6-foot-5, 220-pounder from San Antonio, Texas, Booth named his top six schools back in March. Along with the Tar Heels, Baylor, Kansas State, SMU, Stanford and TCU were still in the mix, but in the end, it was Chapel Hill that Booth decided to call his future home.
Booth becomes the highest-ranked player in the Class of 2027 to commit to the Tar Heels. Rivals lists him as the No. 219 overall prospect in the country and the No. 21-ranked edge rusher in his class.
As a high school junior, Booth couldn't be stopped. In just 9 games, the future Tar Heel recorded 85 tackles (9 for loss) and three sacks, showing how he has a knack for not only finding the football, but for bringing down the ball carrier as well.
Tar Heel fans would love to see that continue once he arrives on campus!
Bill Belichick works his magic to help UNC land a new 325-pound OL commit
Bill Belichick is a defensive minded head coach who has guided many elite defenses during his journey as a coach. As he prepares for year two as the UNC football program's head coach, the focus is not only on improving this year's defense but looking ahead to the future, finding guys (both via the high school recruiting trail and the transfer portal) who can come in and make an impact, especially up front.
Booth is definitely one of those guys, one who has the potential to be a cornerstone on defense for the UNC football program for years to come.
