When all signs started pointing toward Juke Harris seriously considering Tennessee, Tar Heel fans began to focus more attention on Terrence Brown, another talented transfer-portal guard closely tied to the UNC basketball program.
Now, it appears that the Tar Heels may also be losing some ground in the Brown sweepstakes as well...

On Thursday afternoon, Brown shared the photo above, which features former Tar Heel Larry Brown and NBA legend Allen Iverson. The two worked together when Brown was the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers, as some might've interpreted the post as Brown making a connection with the guy who has the same last name as him who just happened to attend North Carolina.
However, the connection here isn't with the Tar Heels, it's aimed at the Kansas Jayhawks, the program Brown led from 1983–1988.
After his official visit, does this post indicate that a commitment to Kansas is on the way? Did North Carolina fumble the bag once again by letting a priority target head to another destination, ultimately ending in a change in recruiting momentum?
Of course, it's easy to speculate and get caught up in what student-athletes post, as the post could be meaningful or have no meaning whatsoever.
In the world of college free agency (aka, the transfer portal), things can change rapidly. After his official visit to North Carolina, the belief was that Brown wouldn't even take his other other official visits, pledging to the Tar Heels before he even left town.
However, he did leave town, and Kansas had the opportunity to get him on its campus. That alone was a major indicator in his recruitment, as the development opened the door for Bill Self and company to make a push that topped what Michael Malone and the Tar Heels presented.
With his upcoming scheduled visit to Kentucky in question, we now wait and see whether a decision is looming, one that the Tar Heels hope still ends in their favor.
