Indya Nivar- Women's Basketball

Date: November 27, 2025
Opponent: South Dakota State
Tournament: Cancun Challenge

The UNC women's basketball program had a feast on the court on Thanksgiving Day, serving up a dominant performance over South Dakota State in the Cancun Challenge.

It was a Thanksgiving to remember for Indya Nivar, who recorded just the second triple-double ever in UNC women's basketball program history. The first came from Nivar's former teammate, Alyssa Ustby, on January 5, 2024.

Nivar recorded her triple-double a little differently than Ustby did, using 10 steals to get the job done. She finished the game with 13 points, 12 rebounds, 10 steals, five assists, and two blocks in what is certainly her best outing as a Tar Heel midway through her third (and final) season at North Carolina.

Jake Knapp- Baseball

Date: May 30, 2025
Opponent: Holy Cross
Tournament: NCAA Chapel Hill Regional

Given how dominant Jake Knapp was during the 2025 season, it's extremely difficult to tab just one performance as his overall best.

However, his start to open up the Chapel Hill Regional is a pretty great representation of his historic season.

The senior right-hander pitched into the ninth inning, recording 25 outs while not allowing a run to guide the UNC baseball program to a 4-0 victory over Holy Cross. He struck out seven while allowing just 4 hits in his 119-pitch outing before turning the game over to Walker McDuffie, who recorded the final two outs.

In what would be his second-to-last start at Boshamer Stadium, Knapp left it all out on the line to help the Diamond Heels secure a very important opening game victory that put them in the driver's seat in the Chapel Hill Regional.

Chloe Humphrey-Women's Lacrosse

Date: May 23, 2025
Opponent: Florida
Tournament: NCAA Semifinals

Not one... not two... not three...

If we keep that up, we'll be here all day long!

Chloe Humphrey had an incredible red shirt freshman season, leading the UNC women's lacrosse team to a national title. While she had plenty of stellar performances throughout her first season with the program, none were better than her seven-goal outing against Florida in the NCAA Semifinals.

Yes, that's not a typo: she scored SEVEN goals to lead North Carolina to a dominant 20-4 victory.

Humphrey went on to lead the UNC women's lacrosse team to the national title and earned tournament MVP honors for her outstanding efforts, but none were bigger than the NCAA Semifinals, one in which Humphrey and the Tar Heels made it feel like there was no goalie in the net.

Caleb Wilson and Henri Veesaar

Date: May 23, 2025
Opponent: Georgetown

This one is a combined effort, one that needs both big men in order for the overall performance to be a special one.

In a non-conference victory over Georgetown, Caleb Wilson (20 points and 14 rebounds) and Henri Veesaar (18 points and 15 rebounds) combined for 38 points and 29 rebounds.

This dominant effort from the Tar Heels' dynamic front court duo is something that hasn't been accomplished by a pair of UNC basketball teammates in over 20 years!

The last time this type of performance happened, the Tar Heels went on to win a national championship. We all hope that this season ends in similar fashion!
