Well, this certainly wasn't on the North Carolina football bingo card heading into Halloween weekend.
Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson reportedly ended their romantic relationship nearly a year ago, according to TMZ Sports.
Yes, you read that correctly.
TMZ reports that Belichick and Hudson quietly ended their relationship in late 2025, though the two remain close friends and continue to work together through their various business partnerships.
Neither Belichick nor Hudson has publicly announced that their relationship ended.
Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson have continued to appear together publicly
What makes the report particularly surprising is that Hudson has remained a very visible part of Belichick's life throughout his time at North Carolina.
Despite reportedly ending their romantic relationship last year, the two have continued to make public appearances together throughout 2026, including Hudson's continued presence around the UNC football program. Hudson has been spotted on the Tar Heel sideline during Belichick's second season in Chapel Hill, including during North Carolina's loss to Syracuse.
According to TMZ, the two remain committed to their business partnerships and are still close friends. The outlet also reports that it is unclear why the relationship ended or who initiated the breakup.
Hudson's involvement with Belichick has been a major topic of conversation since he arrived in Chapel Hill.
North Carolina previously clarified that Hudson did not have an official role with the football program while confirming that she continued to assist with activities related to Belichick's personal brand.
The reported breakup apparently hasn't changed that working relationship.
Of course, none of this has much to do with what happens between the white lines.
Belichick has a much more pressing matter to worry about this weekend, as North Carolina prepares to welcome No. 1 Miami to Kenan Stadium for a Halloween night showdown.
Still, given how much attention Belichick and Hudson's relationship has generated throughout his tenure in Chapel Hill, a report that they broke up nearly a year ago is certainly noteworthy.
Apparently, we've all been a little behind on this one.
