The 2023 NBPA-100 Camp is underway, as some of the most elite players from the 2025, 2026, and even 2027 recruiting classes are competing at this invite-only event at the ESPN Wide World of Sports on the campus of Walt Disney World.
Of course, Hubert Davis made a trip to the happiest place on earth (other than Chapel Hill, of course) to take another closer look at some potential recruiting targets for his program. Thanks to a photo posted by the Top 100 camp 'X' account, we even got a look at Davis sporting some facial hair!

Anyways, before we get off track, let's go back to the recruiting part of this trip. Joe Tipton of On3 was detailing which players each program was watching, as the one player Tipton mentioned on the Tar Heels' radar is one that won't surprise anyone.
Alabama’s Nate Oats, Michigan’s Dusty May, North Carolina’s Hubert Davis, Duke’s Jon Scheyer, Georgia Tech’s Damon Stoudamire are among the many head coaches here at the NBPA Top-100 Camp.

Tipton reported that Hubert Davis was on-hand on Tuesday morning watching Team Rockets and four-star big man Malachi Moreno.

After showing interest in Moreno for quite some time, the UNC basketball program finally extended an offer to him on May 21. Now that the Tar Heels are heavily involved in his recruitment, Davis is taking every opportunity he gets to not only watch Moreno in action but to show his interest in bringing him to Chapel Hill.
It's also fitting that Team Rockets features another player who has recently emerged onto the Tar Heels' radar: four-star combo guard Acaden Lewis. News recently surfaced that the UNC basketball program has had discussions with Lewis, but no official offer has been extended as of now.
That ultimately could change in the very near future.
This invite-only event features some of the top available talent across various graduating classes, as it's very likely that Davis made the trip to not only take a look at guys who already have the Tar Heels interest but to also see if any other potential fits emerge from the pack.
Fair warning: don't be surprised to see some more UNC basketball recruiting news over the next few days, as this trip to Disney could spark some interest in some new players that we may not have heard much about before.
