Two games.
That's all it took for Maximo Adams to record his first career double-double in a UNC uniform.
If the early returns are any indication, Michael Malone might have something special brewing with his talented freshman forward.

Adams finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds in UNC's dominant 109-70 victory over Wofford on Friday night, leading his team in rebounds off the bench on his way to a major individual milestone.
Not a bad way to introduce yourself to the Carolina family!
Maximo Adams continues to make an immediate impact for UNC
Plenty of questions remain about UNC's revamped roster. With a new head coach, several transfers, and a collection of talented freshmen, nobody knows exactly how the pieces will fit together.
Adams, however, hasn't wasted much time making his presence felt, and is proving he will, in fact, be a major contributor this season.
The 6-foot-7 forward made an immediate impression during Monday's season-opening victory over Western Carolina, scoring 10 points in just 18 minutes off the bench. He made three of his five field-goal attempts, including two three-pointers, and added four rebounds.
It was an encouraging start for a player looking to carve out a significant role in Malone's rotation, but it was his encore performance that proves he's got a lot more to offer.
Adams collected seven rebounds in the first half alone, including two offensive boards, helping the Tar Heels establish control early. With eight minutes to go in the second half, Adams already notched his first career double-double, a testament to his outstanding overall effort.
Two games into his college career, Adams has now scored in double figures twice. Most importantly, he's showing that his contributions extend well beyond putting the basketball through the hoop.
Two games into his college career, Maximo Adams is already making a very strong statement. When his number has been called, Adams has brought a huge level of energy on both ends of the floor, making the absolute most of every second he's in the game.
Without a doubt, the Tar Heels will need more of that from the talented freshman in the future.
Adams was a highly touted recruit for a reason, and he's wasting no time proving why that was the case. As he continues to gain experience at the collegiate level, it will be interesting to see just how productive he can be, as he's a player with an extremely high ceiling who has the characteristics of being a future star in the making.
Based on his first two games, it's pretty safe to say that more big-time performances are in store for Adams this season.
