North Carolina's inability to knock down free throws on Monday night (and let's face it, for most of the season) has taken our anxiety levels to whole new levels.

The Tar Heels missed 10 of 19 attempts at the charity stripe, a factor in allowing Louisville to make it a one possession game down the stretch. It served as another reminder that capitalizing at the free throw line is vital, and can't be something this team continues to let hamper them.

Following the win over No. 24-ranked Louisville, Hubert Davis was asked about his team's struggles at the free throw line. While he was likely stressed beyond belief on the sidelines, the head coach of the Tar Heels had an epic response to the question.

Hubert Davis provided an epic one-word response

After joking with the reporter who cited his team's free throw woes, Davis provided a hilarious one-word answer to the question of what he can do to improve his team's free throw shooting.

"Pray."

At this point, there's only so much coaching you can do to fix free throw shooting woes. Davis spoke about the tweaks him (and his coaching staff) could make during practice, but during game situations, Davis doesn't want to complicate things by making his free throw shooter overthink things.

Davis provided an example of an in-game adjustment

While Davis typically doesn't want to get into his free throw shooters' head, he will provide them tips that can help them when he sees fit.

That happened on Monday night when Derek Dixon stepped to the free throw line.

The freshman guard was at the line before Louisville was even setup around him. Davis called for his point guard and told him to back away from the line until the Cardinals were set in their respective positions.

It's little things like that in which Davis feels comfortable calling out on the spot. The rest of the adjustments likely come on the practice court.

For now, Davis and UNC fans will pray that the free throw shooting improves as postseason play draws near.
