If you're wondering why transfers like Owen Hull flock to Chapel Hill, one swing of the bat from the junior centerfielder can tell the entire tale.
Starting his college career at George Mason, Hull became a big-time player who was ready to take on the challenges of competing at a bigger program. He transferred to North Carolina last offseason with the intent of playing in big games come June.
On Sunday, Hull was ready for the biggest moment of his baseball career thus far.
Owen Hull sends the Diamond Heels back to Omaha
While the Tar Heels offense was stagnant throughout the day, Hull was the one player who consistently found himself on base. In fact, Hull was a doubles machine, roping three doubles before getting another crack at it in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Bosh Magic delivers in the most epic way, sending UNC baseball back to Omaha!
Luckily, Hull had another double in his bat, this one being little more meaningful than the ones he hit earlier in the game.

Hull's swing in front of the home crowd at Boshamer Stadium, one that could be his last as a Tar Heel if he's selected in this year's MLB Draft, is one that will be remembered for many years to come, clinching the 13th trip to Omaha in the history of the UNC baseball program.
If you want a breakdown of what Hull was trying to accomplish when he stepped to the plate, his thought process was a lot simpler than you might think.

Well, his bat did the work in North Carolina's Super Regional series against USC, as he simply was unstoppable at the plate. Without his production on both sides of the ball, you can easily make the case that UNC's season might already be over, as Hull has delivered not only this weekend, but throughout his entire first season as a Tar Heel.
That one swing of the bat is one that Hull has worked toward since he committed to the UNC baseball program, and it's safe to say that Hull will point to this exact moment to justify his decision, one that has worked out tremendously.
