There's absolutely nothing like the rivalry between Duke and North Carolina.
When you don't have bragging rights heading into your second meeting with your heated rival, I guess the next best thing to do is to throw shade at something else that is UNC-related. Let's face it: blowing multiple double-digit leads and losing on a buzzer-beater in Chapel Hill is quite embarrassing.
Sure, the Duke fans who blame the referees for the loss will still be crying like JJ Redick on his senior night, but hey, now they can chuckle in their tents at Duke's latest social media post as they await entry into Tyler Hansbrough Indoor Stadium on Saturday night!
Duke chimes in on the Dean Smith Center debacle
Duke decided to post a #NoContextDukeMBB post on X. In case you're not familiar with what that is, here is a definition, courtesy of Google.
The hashtag #NoContext is used on social media to share images, video clips, quotes, or statements that are intentionally removed from their original context, background, or surroundings. It is a popular, often humorous, content style designed to trigger engagement—such as laughter, confusion, or curiosity—by presenting a "snippet" of information without the surrounding details that make it understandable.
That no context post threw shade at North Carolina for the ongoing Dean Smith Center discussions. With the future of the Smith Center in doubt, Duke went way back to 1987 to find a letter, written by Mike Krzyzewski, speaking to the fan base about a decision that was made at the time to renovate Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Duke is actually helping those in favor of renovating the Smith Center
Now, little does Duke know, but that letter is actually supporting what the team of people who are fighting to renovate the Smith Center is aiming for: renovate, not relocate.
New details regarding the future home of Carolina Basketball have emerged
As Coach K said in his letter, he was all for the decision to renovate Cameron Indoor Stadium. Even though this letter is nearly 40 years old at this point, both he, and former UNC basketball head coach Roy Williams, stand firm on their beliefs to renovate the areas in need of improvement in the current facilities.
Sparking the debate even more
Without a doubt, this social media post by Duke will spark even more discussions regarding this pending decision, one that is set to have major financial implications on the University of North Carolina as a whole.
If we listen to anything Coach K has ever had to say, it should be this: renovate, don't relocate!
