Following the loss to Michigan State on Thanksgiving Day, the UNC basketball team has posted back-to-back wins, highlighted by the strong performance against Kentucky in Lexington. However, fans are still riding high following the Sunday night win over Georgetown.

In that win, Caleb Wilson did his usual thing, scoring 20 points and adding 14 rebounds. Was it a Tracy McGrady-type performance from him? That's what Georgetown's coach thought of the 5-star freshman. With that said, fellow first-year Heel Henri Veesaar was spectacular as well and Wilson didn't hesitate in showing him some love after the final whistle:

Caleb Wilson and Henri Veesaar have been electric for UNC basketball this season

It has been so much fun to watch these two this season and they're just getting started. With the new AP Top 25 coming out on Monday, the Tar Heels have moved up to No. 14 in the country. While the loss to Michigan State was disappointing, this group continues to take positive steps forward.

Keep in mind that they're doing this without veteran leader Seth Trimble out on the hardwood. The playmaker has been out since early on this season due to injury. However, Hubert Davis said last week that Trimble is improving each day and he's working towards a return.

UNC won't rush him back, but once he's in action again, this team will become even more dangerous. Thankfully, guys like Wilson and Veesaar have been sensational in recent weeks. Veesaar, an Arizona transfer, is averaging 16.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, which has been fantastic.

People weren't quite sure what to expect out of the big man after he transferred in from Zona, but he's been as steady as can be for Davis and his staff. Wilson is loving what he's seeing out of his teammate too, which makes things better. Until Trimble is back, both Wilson and Veesaar are going to have to pick up the slack. Thankfully, they've been doing just that for Carolina.
