Tommy Lloyd officially told North Carolina "no," agreeing to a contract extension with Arizona that will keep him in Tucson for the forseeable future.
If it wasn't already bad enough that North Carolina's perceived top head coaching target used them for leverage to get what he wanted from his current employer, it gets 1000x worse with how people (especially Arizona fans) are reacting on social media.
Based on our comment sections, Arizona fans are more insulted that UNC fans wanted Tommy Lloyd instead of being flattered that everyone thinks so highly of him.
Regardless, it didn't take long for Caleb Love, a former Tar Heel and Wildcat, to chime in.

Love shared a photo that Arizona posted of Lloyd on his Instagram story, adding the text, "what ya'll thought?" with a laughing face emoji next to it. Basically, Love's comment is poking fun at Tar Heel fans who thought that Lloyd was actually going to take the job at North Carolina.
If Love wants to throw shade so badly, we could to, but we'll just take the higher road.
This whole situation has been a complete mess, as some are claiming that UNC has lost its "Blue Blood" status, while others are using them to get the extensions they vie for from their current programs. Lloyd is the major domino that has affected this head-coaching search, and now North Carolina must pivot (and quickly) as they attempt to find the right guy for the job.
Tar Heel fans might want to either stay off social media for a bit, as Arizona fans are absoluterly RUTHLESS given the latest development regarding their head coach.
It seems like alumni of the program, especially Caleb Love, are absolutely eating up every opportunity to throw shade toward those who believed Lloyd was destined to head to Chapel Hill.
