Don't you just love to hear a story about how someone fulfilled a dream of theirs?!

For young athletes playing various sports, most grow up following a certain team or idolize certain players. In the case of Noah Spinks, the Class of 2027 quarterback has dreamed of wearing the Carolina Blue since he was a kid, and now that dream is set to become a reality.

Noah Spinks commits to North Carolina

After making an official visit to campus this weekend, Spinks wasted no time pledging to Bill Belichick and the Tar Heels. The Humble, Texas native chose North Carolina over the likes of Utah, UTSA, Lamar, Incarnate Word, Southern Miss, Georgia Southern, and Sam Houston State.

In an interview with Inside Carolina, Spinks talked about why UNC has been his dream school, a fact reaffirmed when he visited campus as a seventh grader.

“(UNC) has been my dream school ever since I was a little kid,” Spinks said. “When I was little, I would always see the jerseys and (Michael) Jordan. I went up to camp when I was in the seventh grade. My whole family loved it up there.”

A successful official visit leads to recruiting win for Bill Belichick and UNC

Don't let the three-star rating fool you: Spinks is an absolute baller. Considered one of the top quarterbacks in the state of Texas, Spinks is coming off an impressive junior season, one in which he led Summer Creek High to a 12-2 record. He led Texas’ Division 6A with 3,690 passing yards and 42 touchdowns, completing a staggering 71 percent of his passing attempts while throwing just five interceptions throughout the entire season.

You can get a glimpse of what Spinks brings to the table by checking out his highlight reel he shared on social media below.

Bill Belichick and the UNC football program have continued to emphasize the high school recruiting trail, looking for those student-athletes that they believe can be program changers down the road. Spinks fits that bill to a tee, a guy who has dreamed of competing at the University of North Carolina who will now have that opportunity to do that in just a few months.

There's no doubt that he's already counting down the days until he officially makes his way to campus following his senior season of high school.
