3 reasons why the ACC Tournament bracket doesn't help the UNC basketball program

In their quest to make the NCAA Tournament field, the UNC basketball program is running out of opportunities to prove they belong in the field.

The UNC basketball program has put itself in a position where they need a deep run in the ACC Tournament (potentially needing to win the whole thing in itself) to earn a spot in the field for the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

While NC State proved last year that anything can happen in postseason play, it's still quite a bit of a longshot for the Tar Heels to make it happen this year.

The 2025 ACC Tournament field is set, as you can find all the details regarding the bracket here. North Carolina will begin its postseason quest on Wednesday afternoon, awaiting the winner of Tuesday's opening round matchup between Notre Dame and Pittsburgh.

Although we're all trying to remain optimistic, the way the bracket situated itself didn't do the UNC basketball program any favors. Here are three reasons why the bracket isn't favorable toward helping the Tar Heels NCAA Tournament hopes.
