UNC Basketball: Leaky Black scores first NBA bucket
The former UNC basketball standout is on the board, as he scored his first NBA points on Sunday afternoon against the New York Knicks.
After making his NBA debut a few days ago, former UNC basketball standout Leaky Black followed it up by scoring his first career points on Sunday afternoon.
Late in the first half of the Charlotte Hornets’ contest against the New York Knicks, Black was the recipient of a lob pass from LaMelo Ball. He was able to knock down the shot for his first career basket.
The former Tar Heel was not finished, as he drained a three-pointer to finish the game with five points, two rebounds, and a block over six minutes of action.
There are not many better places to score your first career basket than at Madison Square Garden, one of the most historic venues in the National Basketball Association. He isn’t seeing a ton of minutes early on in his career (10 over his first two games), but he is making the most of every second he has been on the court.
If he keeps doing what he’s doing, it won’t be long before his minutes start to increase.
Congrats Leaky Black, you can now say you’ve scored in an NBA game! Not many can say the same!
