UNC Basketball legend has high praise for incoming freshman
On his recent podcast episode, UNC basketball legend Tyler Hansbrough discussed how an incoming freshman will change the “dynamic of the team.”
The big story in Chapel Hill this week was the reclassification of five-star guard Elliot Cadeau.
With Cadeau joining the UNC basketball program this upcoming season, his addition to this year’s roster has been a major headline for everyone around college basketball to discuss. A former UNC basketball legend chimed in with his take, as he believes this addition will be huge for Hubert Davis’ squad.
On an episode of the SleepHawk Worldwide Podcast, Tyler Hansbrough had some very high praise for the incoming freshman. Here’s what he had to say:
"“Elliot Cadeau is a dynamic point guard. He is a true point guard. His reclassification will change the dynamic of the team. This will give us another primetime player. Cadeau is going to be big-time for us. He can pass. He can play.”"
Hansbrough went on to discuss some returning players as well, as he believes that Cadeau’s addition will help some other players, including senior guard RJ Davis:
"“It’s good because we can move RJ Davis over to shooting guard. I am expecting RJ to have a big year next year. He was our most improved player this year. He added a lot to his game. He was more consistent. He is the one guy I am really looking forward to watching this year. He gives us three big-time players: RJ Davis, Armando Bacot and Elliot Cadeau.”"
According to Hansbrough, the Tar Heels now have three “big-time players” to work with this season. Based on his comments, it’s safe to say that the former UNC basketball legend believes that Cadeau’s reclassification will definitely help the Tar Heels improve this season.
