The UNC basketball program got some good news, as one of their top targets in the Class of 2024 confirmed that he’ll be visiting Chapel Hill.

Class of 2024 five-star point guard Elliot Cadeau is nowhere near making a decision on his future.  As the rising junior continues to evaluate his options, it appears as if the UNC basketball program is firmly in the mix at this stage of the game.

In a recent interview with basketball insider Adam Zagoria, Cadeau went into detail about a handful of his top suitors. The Tar Heels were among the teams mentioned, as the 6-foot-1, 165-pound point guard stated that he has plans regarding the University of North Carolina.

"“I’m definitely going to visit UNC, but that’s the only one I know right now.”"

Cadeau confirmed that he will be taking an official visit to Chapel Hill as part of his recruiting tour. He also went on to discuss his current connection with Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels:

"““Their message right now, we don’t really talk basketball yet, but Coach Hubert [Davis] is in contact with me a lot. The interest is there. They really want me and I feel like a priority.”"

Davis and his staff are making sure that Cadeau is a priority, and are getting some recruiting help from a current commit in the process.

Before transferring to Link Academy, Cadeau played his first two seasons of high school basketball at Bergen Catholic in Oradell, New Jersey. Class of 2023 commit Simeon Wilcher plays at Roselle Catholic, and has been vocal in helping try to get Cadeau to follow him to Chapel Hill.

"“He (Wilcher) really likes it and he thinks I could fit their system,”"

Cadeau is considering reclassifying to the Class of 2023, which would mean he would be in the same recruiting class as Wilcher. As they work hard to land a commitment from him, it’s certain that Davis and the UNC basketball program would love to add him to the mix in either of the upcoming recruiting classes.
