The UNC basketball recruiting team was busy on Tuesday, as they extended an offer to yet another Class of 2023 forward prospect.

Tuesday was a busy day for the UNC basketball recruiting team.

The day started with an official offer to four-star forward T.J. Power. Hours later, the program was not done for the day, as they’ve extended another offer to an additional four-star forward from the Class of 2023.

Zayden High becomes the latest player to receive an offer from North Carolina. Hubert Davis extended the offer via a phone call with High on Tuesday night, as he becomes the tenth player that the Tar Heels have given an offer to in this respective class.

Similar to Power, High possesses the size and skill set that has the ability to thrive in Davis’ system. He has the size of a big man but is also a knockdown shooter as well.

During the spring, assistant coach Sean May had the opportunity to see High in action. Originally in Orlando to see another prospect, it was High who stole the show, as he put together a 27-point, eight-rebound performance. After he scored 31 points the following day, Davis reached out to High and expressed the Tar Heels’ initial interest in him.

Now, a few months later, High holds a scholarship offer from the University of North Carolina.

A growth spurt has certainly helped High, as he’s reportedly grown from about 6-foot-2 to the 6-foot-9 or 6-foot-10 range. This is pretty ideal size for a  stretch ‘4,’ as he’s known to be a good shooter who has improved his rebounding skills.

If you’re looking to keep an eye on High this fall, know that the rising senior is transferring from Spring Branch Smithson Valley in Texas to Compass Prep in Arizona.

With his transfer, High now rates as the No. 2 prospect in the state of Arizona (according to 247Sports Composite). He also comes in as the No. 37 overall prospect in the Class of 2023.

There may be some uncertainty with the UNC basketball recruiting Class of 2023, but Hubert Davis and his staff are wasting no time pursuing other players to add to their ‘Jordan Year’ class.
