For his efforts at the NBPA Top 100 camp, On3 has recognized UNC basketball commit GG Jackson as the Most Valuable Player of the event.

Heading into this week’s NBPA Top 100 camp, UNC basketball commit Gregory “GG” Jackson was viewed as the consensus No. 1 overall player in the Class of 2023.

After competing in the camp, it’s safe to say that nothing has changed from that perspective.

In recognition of his stellar play, On3 has tabbed him as the most valuable player of the camp. With his rising reputation, Jackson got the best of the opponents that he faced, and performed extremely well under the bright spotlights.

Heading into the camp finals, Jackson was the only player at the event to average a double-double. Remember, there are some of the top prospects in the country competing at this camp, and Jackson was the only one to accomplish this feat.

Overall, the future Tar Heel averaged 13 points and 10 rebounds per game. As he was noted as mostly creating offensively from the perimeter, Jackson shot an impressive 46.7 percent from the floor.

Jamie Shaw of On3 provided a scouting report on Jackson after watching him compete at the NBPA Top 100 camp:

"Jackson has good size at 6-foot-9 with good length and natural pop to his game. He is a quick-twitch guy with lift around the basket. His ball skills off the bounce get him to his spots, and he is decisive in getting downhill with balance. Jackson will need to continue gaining confidence in the jump shot and his ability to track the ball on the boards and on the defensive end."

Throughout the camp, Jackson showed why he’s regarded as one of the top players in his graduating class. Seeing him compete well in events like these will only add to the excitement that UNC basketball fans have for his future arrival in Chapel Hill.
