The Salisbury, North Carolina native started all 62 games for the Diamond Heels so far this season, and leads the team in home runs, OPS, runs scored, slugging percentage, stolen bases, total bases, and triples. He became the first UNC baseball ever to record a 20-20 season and was one of just two players in the entire country to accomplish the feat during the 2022 campaign.

To add to his success, Honeycutt was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team while also earning third-team all-conference honors. He was named the MVP of the 2022 ACC Baseball Championship.

From big-time home runs to game-saving catches, Honeycutt has simply done it all for the Tar Heels this season. As the Diamond Heels look to keep their season alive, it’s certain that Honeycutt will be a major factor in how far the Tar Heels end up going.

Honeycutt and the Tar Heels will be back in action on Saturday morning, as they begin their Super Regional play against Arkansas in Chapel Hill. The game will begin at 11:00 AM EST and will be televised on ESPN.
