After winning the ACC Tournament title this weekend, UNC baseball head coach Scott Forbes will try to bring good luck to a fellow Carolina team.

Scott Forbes seems to be a pretty busy man these days!

The Forbes-led UNC baseball program captured the ACC Tournament title on Sunday afternoon and is looking ahead to the start of the NCAA Tournament, which will kick off on Friday in Chapel Hill.

Although the Tar Heels are preparing for their battle against Hofstra, Forbes was able to find some time in his schedule on Monday night to support a fellow Carolina squad.

The Carolina Hurricanes announced via social media that Forbes will be one of three special guests to serve as a “siren sounder” for the team’s Game 7 duel with the New York Rangers. Forbes will be joined by former Hurricane goaltender Cam Ward as well as Charlotte FC soccer standout Brandt Bronico.

Add Forbes to the list of Tar Heels who have served in this role for the Hurricanes this season. After their tremendous run to the NCAA Tournament finals, UNC basketball head coach Hubert Davis as well as standouts Armando Bacot and Brady Manek helped bring some noise and energy to PNC Arena.

It’s a big night for the Hurricanes, as they look to clinch their spot in the upcoming Eastern Conference Finals. Carolina has been tremendous at home during the postseason run and looks to continue that trend against the Rangers on Monday night.

It’s safe to say that they’ll need all the crowd energy that they can get, as the home-field advantage could play a major role in tonight’s outcome. In an effort to bring the energy, it’s only right that they are relying on a Tar Heel to help make that happen.

In case you haven’t noticed, winning is pretty contagious in Chapel Hill!
