UNC Basketball: Manek goes from classic rock to 90s TV
Brady Manek and the UNC basketball walk-ons continue to have fun on social media, as they switched from classic rock to 90s television in their latest TikTok post.
It’s simple: when the UNC basketball program wins a game in the NCAA Tournament, we get a new post on TikTok from graduate transfer Brady Manek.
In what seems to be a new superstition, Manek, along with the Tar Heels walk-on players, have been posting TikTok videos in celebration of each particular win. After the team’s Sweet 16 victory over UCLA, “Manek and the walk-ons” performed their version of “Your Love” by The Outfield, a video that received over 680,000 views.
After the team’s Elite Eight victory over St. Peter’s, the group was at it again, but this time, created their own spin-off of a popular 90s television show intro.

Manek, along with Jackson Watkins, Rob Landry, Duwe Farris, and Creighton Lebo, put together a video to the theme song from the popular sitcom ‘Full House.’ In just a matter of a few days, the group went from covering classic rock to creating their own television show intro!
Needless to say, this group is having a lot of fun, and they are determined to keep the superstition going. I think we’re all in agreement that we’d all be thrilled to see more content from “Manek and the walk-ons,” especially because it would mean that the UNC basketball program continues to win NCAA Tournament games.
Now that we’ve all witnessed their latest TikTok masterpiece, the question remains:
What will this group attempt to cover next?!
