The month of June is heating up for recruiting and especially for a few UNC Basketball targets in the 2022 class. The Tar Heels currently have just one commitment in the 2022 class, landing Will Shaver at the beginning of the month but they now have a chance to add at least two more players in the span of a week.

On Wednesday, four-star guard Seth Trimble will make his decision picking between Michigan and North Carolina. And then a few days later another top UNC target is set to decide and end his recruitment.

Four-star small forward Justin Taylor made two big updates to his recruitment on Tuesday afternoon by cutting his list down to five and setting a commitment date.

Taylor is now down to North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Virginia Tech and Syracuse, trimming his list from 15 offers down to just 5. In addition to that, he tells Tipton Edits that he will be making his college choice on Saturday June 26th:

The 6-foot-6, 200-pound Taylor recently went on a few visits including one to North Carolina and is now ready to decide. His lis is ACC heavy but Indiana did receive the most recent visit from the recruit.

It’s very hard to tell where the Tar Heels stand in this recruitment although he was impressed with his visit to Chapel Hill back on June 5th. Did the Tar Heels do enough to secure a new commitment and add a scorer to their wing?

Taylor is ranked No. 84 nationally, No. 21 small forward and the No. 3 player in the state of Virginia per the 247Sports composite rankings. At this time, there are no crystal ball predictions logged for the recruit but that should change in the coming days.
