UNC Football: Chazz Surratt named ACC Linebacker of the Week

After a standout performance against N.C. State, Chazz Surratt has once again earned ACC Linebacker of the Week honors.

The UNC Football program picked up a big victory on Saturday afternoon, as they defeated rival N.C. State 48-21 in blowout fashion.

Defensively, senior Chazz Surratt had yet another standout performance. The Denver, North Carolina  native tallied eight total tackles along with a sack, forced fumble and also an interception. For his efforts on Saturday, Surratt earned ACC weekly honors.

Surratt was named the ACC Linebacker of the Week for his efforts in the Tar Heels victory over N.C. State. This is the second time this season that the senior won the award, as he also took home the honors after the Tar Heels’ Week 1 victory over Syracuse. Overall, this is the third time that Surratt has earned the linebacker of the week honor.

On a weekly basis, Chazz Surratt continues to be a major force on the Tar Heels defense. The senior linebacker continues to prove why he should be considered as a first-round level talent in this year’s NFL Draft class.

Surratt and the UNC Football program will look to continue their success this week, as they travel to Virginia for a Halloween matchup against the Cavaliers.
