UNC gets some revenge from an earlier loss to Miami in the regular season

The number one seed in the ACC Tournament opened with a 20-plus point win as the North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the Miami Hurricanes 78-53.

A five-point game at the half, thanks to a 7-0 run by Miami in the final minute, Carolina put their foot on the gas in the first two minutes of the second half and didn’t let up.

The Tar Heels, who are in the top 10 nationally in assists per game, finished with 21 assists on 28 made field goals.

Shooting 53 percent from the field for the game, that number was a huge difference from the first matchup with the ‘Canes where they were held to 35 percent.
