This team has Jrue Holiday as their starting point guard, Eric Gordon as the starting shooting guard, Tyreke Evans as a combo guard and Norris Cole to back up Holiday at the point guard position. In the low post, New Orleans may lose sharpshooting power forward Ryan Anderson to free agency.

Paige’s shooting would be ideal for the Pelicans’ second team. You never know. Depending on how Paige develops, he could earn a starting spot.

Moreover, Holiday spent a great deal of time at shooting guard last season. This could give rise to a trade of Gordon or Evans in the near future, based on the direction the team chooses.

Last but not least, New Orleans third-string guard, Bryce Dejean-Jones was killed last month. Sad way to have an opening on a team’s roster.
