Orlando is on the come up! Rumor is it that Dwight Howard might come back to the team that drafted him. Today, Howard opted out of his contract with the Houston Rockets to become a free agent.

In regards to guards, Orlando is not sold on any of their guards. Elfrid Payton is the starting point guard. Next season will be his third season. Orlando wants to see how he performs next season before extending his contract.

Brandon Jennings could possibly play elsewhere during the 2016-2017 season since he is a free agent. C.J. Watson is a journeyman; however, he has proven to be dependable and solid on both ends of the floor. Shabazz Napier is the fourth point guard on the depth chart.

Watson and Napier are combo guards, similar to Paige. Compared to all of Orlando’s current point guards, Paige is the best shooter. You could argue that Paige is the best shooter in the entire draft. Other players get more attention than Paige due to their size coupled with athleticism.

Paige is underrated at handling the ball and distributing the rock to others. He did a good job getting teammates involved at UNC. This should be noted. Paige’s leadership is second to none, also evident in Carolina’s miraculous comeback in the 2016 NCAA Championship.
