Heels in the NBA: Best fits for UNC’s Marcus Paige
Chicago Bulls
Rumor is it that current Bulls’ point guard Derrick Rose may be traded to another team. He has been plagued by numerous injuries throughout his NBA career.
Paige would be a good fit with the Bulls who are in need of a shooting point guard. However, keep in mind that Paige is not a one-dimensional player.
He is a solid passing guard and his athleticism is underrated. His maximum vertical jump is 39.5 inches. Just to put this into perspective, Rose stated that his vertical was 37 inches when he entered the NBA.
When looking at the rest of Chicago’s point guards, there are Aaron Brooks and E’Twaun Moore on the roster currently. Moore entered the league as a point guard but has moved to shooting guard since. Chicago could decide to do a complete overhaul of their starting lineup and get rid of everyone.
NBA rumor mills are saying that Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah will probably leave due to free agency and/or trades. Jimmy Butler and/or Derrick Rose are rumored to possibly be traded to other teams. If these things occur, there is no pressure on Paige as a rookie PG in Chi-Town.
